Printing to PDF

For the most part, you will want to print out your final floorplan onto a standard sheet of 8.5" by 11" paper. To do this, probably the best method is to first print your file to a PDF file format. Once the PDF file is created, then you can print your floorplan more easily.

To create a PDF of your file, click on the Smartdraw icon in the top left corner of the screen. When you do, you see this menu:

Select Print and then Print again, as shown here.

A new window pops up, one that lets you choice printer settings. Set your printer name, using the pull-down menu, to Adobe PDF and also select print on One Page. Click on OK to create your PDF file.

If your PDF looks acceptable, print the floorplan from the PDF screen. If not, go back and make any adjustments necessary and create a new PDF.
